Abstract:
With the increasing span of concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge, in order to ensure the safety of design and construction, it is necessary to explore the applicability of the current specification for the ultimate bearing capacity evaluation. A 500 m-level real bridge is taken as the engineering background in this paper. The differences between Technical Code for Concrete- Filled Steel Tube Arch Bridges (GB 50923–2013) and Specifications for Design of Highway Concrete-Filled Steel Tubular Arch Bridges (JTG/TD 65–06-2015) in the calculation, evaluation and coefficient values are compared and analyzed. The results show that the value-taking of arch rib stiffness, impact coefficient, closure temperature and other parameters in accordance with GB 50923–2013 is safer and more accurate. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
