Abstract:
Ordered mesoporous hydroxyapatite were achieved by a areflux method in the presence of non-poisonous surfactant (potassiam polyoxyethylene laurylether phosphate, MAP). TEM observations show in the presence of MAP HAp crystals are oriented arrangement with regular and well-defined channels. The size of each channel are about 3.5 nm in width. Due to the structure of surfactant and electrostatic interaction between ionized surfactant and Ca2+ ions, the presence of MAP greatly influence the morphology and structure of the product. The regulating formation mechanism of hydroxyapatite nanoclusters by MAP may extend the understanding of biomineralization process for the preparation of biomimetic materials.
