Abstract:

In a concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) truss arch bridge, arch ribs usually consist of several chords. Different concrete-filling schemes will produce different initial stresses in the steel tube chords. Based on the existing CFST truss arch bridge of Paojiang River, the full process of construction was simulated by using MIDAS, in which the magnitude of initial stress was discussed and the concrete-filling schemes were analyzed. Finally, the load-carrying capacity of this bridge considering the initial stress was calculated
