Abstract:

The in-plane whole critical load of CFST latticed columns under eccentric compression is calculated with design criterion (CECS28:90) for CFST structure. In this criterion, equivalent slenderness ratio of latticed column is calculated by an addition method and the shearing influence will be overestimated for those members with small slenderness ratio, so there is big difference between the calculation results and the test results. A method by using an enlarging parameter to calculate equivalent slenderness ratio of CFST latticed columns is presented. The calculation results critical load by this method are coincident well with the test results.
