Abstract:
A marine agarase-producing strain (Vibrio sp.)Ag-1 was isolated from asparagus and its medium compositions and fermentation conditions for agarase production were studied. The optimal agarase-producing conditions were obtained: agar 0.2%, peptone 0.3%, yeast extract 0.8%, NaCl 4.0%, MgSO4 0.6%, CaCl2 0.2%, initial pH of medium 6.5, inoculation volume 1% (v/v), shaking speed 240 r/min, medium volume 50 mL/250mL, temperature 33, fermentation time 24 h. Fermenting under these conditions, agarase activity reached 45.51 U/mL, about 5.5 times higher than before optimization (7.0 U/mL). © 2017, Editorial Office of Journal of CIFST. All right reserved.
