Abstract:
A silica gel modified by thioacetamide as a solid-phase absorbent was synthesized. A silica gel modified by thuoacetamide as a solid-phase absorbent was synthesized, and its adsorption properties were investigated by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The influences of parameters, including pH value, shaking time and adsorption capacity in batch processes and flow rates of sample, eluent condition and sample volume in column processes, on the quantitative recovery of Cu2+ and Pb2+ were studied. Conditions for the effective extraction were optimized. In an aqueous medium of pH 5.0, the absorbent adsorbed Cu2+ and Pb2+ ion strongly and equilibrium of absorption was achieved by shaking for 25 min. The adsorptive capacity of Cu2+ and Pb2+ ion was 15.05 mg/g and 21.10 mg/g, respectively. This method has been applied in the determination of lead and copper in water samples, 98.4%~102.0% recovery is obtained.
