Abstract:

Two new inorganic-organic hybrid polyoxotantalates (POTas), H2[Co(en)3]3Ta6O19 (1) and Na2(H2O)6H2[-Co(en)3]2Ta6O19 (2) (en = ethylenediamine) have been hydrothermally synthesized by using the phosphate buffer solution (Na3PO4/Na2HPO4, pH = 12.36) as reaction medium. Notably, both compounds are built from anionic [Ta6O19]8-clusters and [Co(en)3]2+ complexes, showing good stability. Moreover, it is demonstrated that both compounds exhibit moderate proton conduction properties.
