Abstract:
Photoredox catalysis has become a mainstay in synthetic methodology over the past decade. However, its application in the functionalization of natural products remains to be further explored. Herein, we report an efficient approach to synthesize artemisinin G from artemisinin via photocatalysis in high yield. Photoredox catalysis has become a mainstay in synthetic methodology over the past decade. Herein, an efficient method for the synthesis of artemisinin G from artemisinin by using 0.5 mol % of TBADT as the catalyst was reported. The reaction proceeds smoothly and rapidly (complete within 30 min) at room temperature in high yield. image
